About this session
Join Rob Tyrrell and Paul McGee (Co-chairs with Clare Poyner of the National Principal Social Worker Network) for a conversation about innovation, creativity, and challenge in social work practice.
They will share experiences and ideas about the benefits, drawbacks and opportunities presented in development and application of ‘models for practice’ within diverse children’s social work and social care settings.
The session will answer the following questions:
- Why choose this model?
- What’s the impact?
- How does it connect to other models?
How does this support and drive improvements to practice in organisations and our individual social work?
As the sector responds to the new ambitions set out in the Governments ‘Stable Homes, Built on Love’ strategy and the National Practice Framework, it’s all the more important that social work is informed and where necessary challenged by theories for change.
They will be joined by colleagues from local authorities with growing or established practice models and are keen to involve attendees in identifying best practice and a shared language for social work into 2024.
