About this session

In this session, the Care Quality Commission will provide an overview of its new role in assessing local authorities and integrated care systems. They will consider the opportunities this presents and look at how they can improve outcomes and reduce inequalities.

They will focus on the scope and content of the assessment framework, and discuss what an assessment looks like in practice: what evidence we use, how we gather it, which staff, leaders and partners will be involved?

The team will be joined by Louise Broddle, Head of Fitness to Practise Investigations at Social Work England to consider the role of social workers in the assessments, what this means for social workers and how they can prepare.

Speakers

  • Jeanette Blackburn – Regulatory Policy Manager, Adult Social Care, Care Quality Commission
  • Lella Andrews – Care Quality Commission, Local Authority Assessment Manager.
