Registrant Adjudicators

About the role

We’re looking for partners who can offer their skills and knowledge for several days throughout the year to support our fitness to practise function.

As Registrant Adjudicator, you will be a registered social worker who is able to assist in the decision-making process of a hearing to determine whether a social worker’s fitness to practise is, or continues to be, impaired. No two days will be the same as you’ll strive to ensure that cases are dealt with efficiently, objectively and fairly.

You will be confident in making independent decisions that stand up to scrutiny and be able to articulate these clearly and carefully in written judgements.

We’re looking for candidates from diverse backgrounds who are representative of the UK population and our registrants. Our offices are based in Sheffield, but we are keen to receive applications from candidates throughout the UK. Partners will be required to attend a two-day training course in Sheffield and regular refresher training.
