Education Quality Assurance Registrant Inspector (Approved Mental Health Professional and Best Interest Assessor)

About the role

We’re looking for partners who can offer their skills and knowledge for several days throughout the year to support our education quality assurance function.

We are recruiting Approved Mental Health Professional and Best Interest Assessor inspectors who have the relevant knowledge, understanding and experience of the courses that we assess, in the same way that we are recruiting inspectors to assess social work courses.

As an inspector, you’ll be at the heart of the quality assurance of social work education courses in England. You will work collaboratively with us and education providers to assess the quality of these courses.

These specialist roles are suitable for people with and without a social work background, and people who have experience of working in quality assurance, education or healthcare regulation. We are recruiting for these inspectors based on their AMHP and BIA skills and knowledge, rather than on whether they hold Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration. Therefore, we are not restricting these roles to AMHP and BIA inspectors who are also HCPC registrants.

We’re looking for candidates from diverse backgrounds who are representative of the UK population and our registrants. Our offices are based in Sheffield, but we are keen to receive applications from candidates throughout the UK.

Inspections are conducted with education and training providers across England. This may require significant travel and overnight accommodation that will normally be arranged by Social Work England.
